However, I think it works only if ide-scsi is built into the kernel. I am loading the module at boot and even though I have that statement in my lilo.conf file, I still get both devices on the ide channel the writer is atached to treated as SCSI devices. I have found ways to work around the issue so I am content all things considered. Especialy since the writer works great and the zip drive works too.
