Heh. We eventually got a wired LAN up and running, and had reasonably good success with VNC. Paul was harassed somewhat when we discovered we could mess with his keyboard and mouse remotely using VNC -- that was either a success or a failure, depending on your point-of-view. ;-) The wireless aspect went less well. We discovered (too late) that the wireless stuff for Linux appears to default to "infrastructure" mode (i.e., it wants to connect to a wireless access point/base station). Since we did not have a WAP, and some of us did not even have the tools needed to tweak the wireless settings, it was basically a bust. One person did manage to connect to some local company's NetWare LAN, though! :-) -- Ben Scott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The opinions expressed in this message are those of the author and do not | | necessarily represent the views or policy of any other person, entity or | | organization.
