Which video driver do you have specified in the XF86Config-4 file?
You mentioned that you have a GeForce2 MX-400 (AGP) card.  Is that 
the driver you spec'ed in the config file?  If not, then that's 
likely your problem.

Try running dpkg-configure xserver-xfree86 or 'dexconf'.

Then please make sure that your Outlook line wrap settings are 
correct, and don't use 'tab' to indent your sentences.
(we receive lots of e-mail from Outlook/Exchange users who don't have 
these problems, so I know it can be done.)
