Just because it wasn't expected by you and Paul does not mean it is a bug. It is quite possible for the "ping" command to receive replies from multiple IP addresses. I suppose they could keep a cache of IP addresses that have been seen, and what (if anything) they resolved to, but that is an awful lot of work to go to for something that is supposed to be a simple utility. If you don't care, use the "-n" switch.
