Yeah I know. However, sometimes you want direct maps, and creating
the mount point is actually trivial if you have an automatic system
build process like JumpStart or KickStart, or you use something like
'cfengine'.

Hmmm, I remember wanting to migrate a site *away* from symlinks to
automounter once, but that was with homedirs, and they were being
really stupid to begin with ;)
