Right, but if I don't have any of that thread in my mailbox, then 
regardless of whether my client can handle threading, there's nothing 
there for it to relate the new message to.  So, if I still had
Rauschenbach's message from 25 Mar 2002, then my mail client *could* 
have associated your message to it for me.  Without any of that 
thread though, you're e-mail just showed up as an isolated e-mail, 
which I would expect.
