Update time again. Printtool (printconf-gui) is now recognizing the new components and reflects new driver capabilities when I select my printer type using it. It now lets me select double sided printing (which my printer supports) where that option did not even show up before. So I know that the foomatic install went right. The current niggly problem is that when the lpd queue starts it should create a directory with files related to the print queue (such as the log file, an access log, printer configuration data, etc.) but it *is not making this directory*.
I think something must be hitting an error along the way but trying to find where that error gets reported is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. [:-(] Any ideas of where to look for the error info? Or how I can find out what commands the printtool is trying to execute behind the scenes so that I can try them on the command line and watch for errors? -- Dan Coutu Managing Director Snowy Owl Internet Consulting, LLC Mobile: 603-759-3885 Fax: 603-673-6676 ***************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text 'unsubscribe gnhlug' in the message body. *****************************************************************
