Indeed. This discussion, with rms' participation, occurred on this very list about three/four years ago. I took the same position as the original poster in this thread, but I used the analogy (among others) that the company that makes the bricks doesn't get the building named after it. As usual, rms ignored every argument we presented with his usual monomania, and my efforts to get him to understand my position (if not that of others) caused him to publicly label me 'an enemy of the GNU Project.' You've the right approach here: convince the users.
