BBC News is reporting that the employees of a company
pose the biggest threat to security.
Unbelievable! I've *NEVER* heard this argument before. Personally I
think it's ridiculous. I mean, c'mon, everyone I've ever worked for
before was completely 100% responsible and accountable. Users were
always thinking about their actions, taking others into consideration,
behaving maturely, etc. Where the main stream press gets off
insinuating that we may need more than firewalls to protect our
corporate assets I have no idea. I find this story ludricrous.
Ask any system security expert, and they'll tell you that all you
need is simply one good firewall. Something like Checkpoint on NT
4.0 should be more than adequate.
To distrust your own employees is nothing short of extreme paranoia!
