I just installed "Everything" on a test machine with no problems at
all. In one install out of the six or so I've done this week I did have a
problem like you described. That was on my laptop with a known wonky DVD
drive, so the errors would appear to be random bad packages. After
finding the exact position of the screen that made the drive happy
everything went well.
I'm sure I know the answer to this, but have you checked the md5sum of
your ISOs _and_ the CDs themselves?

All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
