To echo what Ben and Ben said, just make sure you've got a good
back-up.  Odds are extremely high that you won't need it.  Of course,
if you don't make one, you'll find out what dumb luck is. ;-)

I've done this to numerous of my own filesystems on machines here at
home, and the process was cake.  Yummy.  No problems whatsoever.
