This is a followup to the problems I had using an older K6-2 system with
a redhat install that was originally done on an Athlon system:

Many thanks to Dave Hill who pointed out that the newer RedHat releases
come with architecture-optimized glibc packages. It turned out that when
I installed my root hard drive into an Athlon system, it would boot up
just fine and I could then replace the i686 glibc package with an i386
built one. Then when I installed the hard drive back into the K6-2
system, everything works great.

Thanks to everyone else who also dropped me a line off-list.

Scott
