Hah! Where we are (Salisbury, MA), the best price we could get for a
dedicated data T1 and Internet feed was more than $1500/month, and twice
that for the install. The loop install charge is based on your distance
from the CO. Plus, you have to deal with Verizon. Verizon gives Microsoft
serious competition in the market for evil.

Meanwhile, one of our nearby customers has just been hooked up with fixed
wireless Internet access via a local ISP (MVA.NET in Haverhill, MA). It is
too early totell just how reliable it will be, but the speed and price seem
impressive so far.
