No, is easy to make kosher from scratch. Before my wife gave birth to my
first child (I thank God have 13 now), she asked me to make a list of all
the things I enjoyed. Egg nog was on the list. When I got to the end, the
chocolate fudge, I told her, wow, why so much interest in making me
everything, her answer, "This way when I have no time after I have children
you can never say I didn't make X for you at least once in your life."...
Needless to say I haven't had home made egg nog since :)

I don't like dairy so much and it is a product from Soy Delicious so I can
just buy at the local "Whole Foods" :)
