There was an issue where singletons apps were not shutting down if there
was an abrupt loss of connection to the browser, i.e. in a Gtk or Mac OSX
native app were shutdown by closing the window. The result are now very
well behaved Gtk and Mac OS X native apps.
That is now corrected, which also means that sudden network loss where the
websocket shutdown message was not sent to a multi_connect app has also
been handled properly.
