(My previous message seems to have included HTML(It looked messed up when I
viewed it in the archive. Here it is again I hope with just plain text. I am
also including n answer to your question - which was not in my original
response. Also, btw, I have now subscribed to the list.)

Regarding "Have you tried this on alternate networks?" I am not sure what you
mean.
Our office uses hard-wired connections not wireless, At home (see below) the
network is with a wireless router. Also I tried at an Apple store and the demo
shows up within th e "for developers" page but clicking "run in another
tab/window" link causes again just a white page to show up.

The following is now the plain text copy of my previous message.

Hello David,
My colleague and I have tried different firewall settings but could not figure
out the situation.
More information:
 - Both Chome and IE work for _him_ on the GNOGA site demo.
 - I have downloaded and compiled the snake demo and it does startup on my
machine (after setting the firewall to allow snake to accept incoming
conections) but both browsers give errors when I try to go to 127.0.0.1:8080
and localhost:8080. My colleague also gets errors going to the address of my
machine. The errors mention "no data received" when the snake server is
running with I think either ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE or ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
depending on whether the server is running or closed.
  - I don't remember the situation when I tried using a windows xp sp3
machine at home at the GNOGA site snake demo but do not remember the out come
(that info probably is not really helpful thought - right?). I'll include the
results tonight but I also
  - downloaded and built on that home machine and ran snake (after indicating
on a Windows poppup to allow connections): Chome 8080 access works but IE does
not! I do not remember the IE version at home but it had an "error details"
output of:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0;
.NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR

Sorry for all of the "this an that" details above but I am very inexperienced
with Window IT/admin type dealings and want to show this Ada web stuff to other
friends an colleagues and want to try to be able to correct stuff that might
prevent demo from running.
I hope that this provides some clues.

Subject: Re: [Gnoga-list] GNOGA site snake demo problem: only white screen
using Chrome and IE on Window 7

Most of the time this sort of thing is caused by a firewall issue blocking
traffic or mobile network. Have you tried this on alternate networks?

Hello,

(This is possibly only the first of a few similar problems that I and another
am having. I'll try solving one at a time first.)

I try to play snake o the GNOGA website from a Windows 7 system but only get a
white page when choosing the "in another window/tab" link. Also, the spot
under the demo links where the snake demo is supposed to appear also shows only
just a white area.

Google Chrome is up to date: Version 46.0.2490.80 m

IE 11 up to date: version 11.0.21

Any ideas?
