cross platform portability, possibility to use app remotely via the web not
just on local machines. Also no need to distribute source if only providing
your app as a service over the internet.
You can also "wrap" the connection to the interface use PhoneGap and
deliver as a mobile phone app and I posted recently how to wrap the
interface to deliver as a Windows 10 native app.
