None of these configure options should be necessary, i.e. the defaults should be adequate. It's far better, for example, to install brltty in /bin, rather than in /usr/bin, since, especially for those who maintain /usr in a separate partition, that still allows brltty to be started early enough for the user to independently perform esseentially all system administrative tasks. >The >ttybrl.c file in the 3.6.1 tarball or the svn of Brltty doesn't compile >on my system. The ttybrl.c currently available from the later revisions of BRLTTY's repository does work. There was a temporary situation where it wouldn't, but that was fixed yesterday evening. The only restriction is that it won't build if you're using a recent (but not the latest) revision of BRLTTY. Specifically, if you have any revision of BRLTTY from 1460 (2005-04-08 00:30:38 -0400) through 1484 (2005-04-14 15:01:01) then you should upgrade to at least revision 1485. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | I believe that the Bible is the Phone: 1-613-726-0014 | Ottawa, Ontario | Word of God.
