Hi, What TTS are you using? festival, freetts, etc? Try to run the driver for it in a separate console (festival-synthesis-driver, freetts-synthesis-driver, etc) and see what messages are displayed. The driver should be started _before_ starting gnopernicus or before turning on speech in gnopernicus.
My first impresion is that messages on your computer are for festival. They could be present because festival is still present in memory (I have no idea why) when you turn speech on. Try to kill all festival processes from memory before this.
