duty-roaster-0.0.90:
====================

Summary:
========

        Duty Roaster is a program for managing and generating duty rotas in a
        userfriendly way licenced under the GPL. You can obtain it from
        http://sourceforge.net/projects/duty-roaster.

Changes:
========

        - The programs component for calculating overtimes was redesigned
          from scratch and has been completly rewritten. As a consequence,
          the program now handels
                - two different overtime classes (overtime on normal and on
public
                  holidays)
                - user defined overtimes which can be applied manually to any
                  entry in the shift table

        - It is now possible to edit payed durations and/or add custom
          overtimes for allready assigned shifts. Besides, every entry
          in the workers schedules may store an additional comment.

        - Extraordinary shifts may have a negative payed duration.

        - Settlemnts may be exported to html.

        - The program now is able to record and store changes made to rotas.
          These changes will be visible in the settlements which
          can be exported.

        - One may now define 'shift sequences' for inserting several shifts with
          one click into the employees schedules.

        - To make manually editing duty rotas more convenient, shifts, which
          are yet needed, but not allready assigned are marked.

        - Subwindows should normally pop up centered on the screen from now on.

        - Bug fixes, code improvements, minor gui enhancments (see the
          ChangeLog for details).

Remarks:
========

        - If you want to experiment with translations, watch out for
                ~/lang.txt if you are working under linux
                PROGRAMM_PATH\lang.txt if you are working under win32.
          Open lang.txt with a text editor, add your translations and restart
          the program. Open Misc->(Translation Log) to check if your
          modifications were accepted. Make sure that the files are encoded as
          UTF-8, rather than ASCII, ISO-8859, or others.

        - A windows version will be available as soon as I have fixed my
m$-win2k
          installation.

        - Save files from older versions are invalid.

Bugs:
=====

        - When assigning several night shifts in sequence, the exported
settlemnt
          may not look the way it should. This will be fixed with the next
          version.

Dependencies:
=============

        - gtkmm-2.6.2 [http://www.gtkmm.org] or higher. 2.4.x will not work !

        - at least boost-1.32.0 (1.33.0 is advised) [http://www.boost.org/]
          with thread support enabled (gentoo users should emerge boost with
          the 'threads' useflag).

        - sqlite-3.2.x [http://www.sqlite.org/].

Planned for 0.0.91:
======================

        - It should be possible to export statistics about night shifts,
holidays,
          overhours and shifts on weekends for a legal period to html.

        - Bugfixes and minor gui enhancements.

Thanks:

          which made this project possible.
