Sure. Please read at least the 'steps of triaging' in our triaging guide.
Not sure if other projects handle things similarly.
My main experience has been with kde bug triaging where I was even at
the top of the list of "Top 20 people who resolved the most reports in
the last 7 days" a couple of times.
I have done soem brief reasearch and found out that you have done
valueable work.
