Here is my proposal for the email (to be sent after the products have officially been considered obsolete): ---------- To: [email protected] Dear downstream, The GNOME products: - <list of products here> are now considered obsolete and unmaintained in GNOME and we are about to close all bugs from these products in GNOME bugzilla[1]. If you are still interested in the information these reports may contain, please copy the information you need now or you can find the information later by searching for CLOSED bugs and keyword obsolete-module-<year>. Please don't hesitate to contact the GNOME Bugsquad ([email protected]) if you have any questions. Also, please let us know if you do not wish to receive these emails in the future. [1] http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ -------------------- >> - SusanaPereira upgrade list of deprecated modules in bugzilla > NOT DONE enter_bug.cgi groups products by their classification. I think that Bugzilla provides a page for doing that here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/editproducts.cgi but I can't access it. I'll report a bug about this as soon as the new bugzilla installation is set up. I can still come up with an sql update to hammer this in the BD but it sounds safer that someone with enough permissions does it in the gui.
