You can have a look at the http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/mergeant/trunk/src/mg-extra-formgrid.c?revision=859&view=markup code which is a widget which implements the dual view (form+grid). I'm afraid I don't have much time to go into the V3's code anymore as it will soon become obsolete, but if you send me a standalone program which shows the bug in action, I can try to help you.
