I've managed to fix Bug 701752 - vala bindings fail to build. I've vamped version to 5.0.5 at LIBGDA_5.0 branch, make dist and tested tar ball.
I know there are some reports about make check fails, even make distcheck fails to me. May be is a good idea you take a look about it.
