Apparently Songbird also has the command line controls built in. I couldn't get that plugin to work on linux, but the command line options listed in this bug report work:
http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2788 Here's the list of options: playback.volumeup playback.volumedown playback.nexttrack playback.previoustrack playback.playpause playback.pause playback.stop So for example to play a song, this is the command that would be issued: ./songbird --hotkey=playback.playpause Does anyone have a guide to writing gnome-do plugins or anything. I don't do much programming myself, but if this is fairly easy to do, I wouldn't mind taking a swing at it, but I don't really know where to start. Thanks!
