The only reason you would NEED to make a plugin for this is if you wanted to make it more dynamic For example, if you wanted to have a list a mounted or mountable files, and perform actions for items in the list. You wouldn't really be able to do that with Aliases, but if you just want to do things like "dismount all" then you don't need anything more than an alias.
