The glove metaphore is cool, but i see gnome-do more a quick assistant. You ask it for a thing (and since you can talk to it, you type for it) and it gives you what you want, and ask you what you want to do with it.
Something like: " - i want firefox - oh yeah, cool, here it is, ¿What do you want to do with it sir? ¿May I execute it? ¿Want to see your bookmarks? - Make me a tea with it :D " The glove is the interface to the system, since you put your hand in and use it throu it. It fits with it too. Maybe it's just a different point of view ;-) Cheers. 2010/2/7 Oren Barnea <[email protected]> > I love it. > > On Feb 7, 12:47 am, Magnus Helander <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi, > > a few weeks ago I introduced myself to this list - I'm an instructional > > designer interested in providing a 'first run' introduction to all new > > installs of gnome-do. > > > > The current one-liner "GNOME Do allows you to quickly search for many > > items present on your desktop or the web, and perform useful actions on > > those items." is good but does not do justice to the elegance and power > > of gnome-do, I say.
