Ubuntu runs very nicely on Macs... you should investigate dual-

Don't worry, my husband and son both run Debian on desktops, laptops
and PDAs. I think they were looking into running it on phones and
watches... (I used to run MkLinux on a separate partition, but now I
have OSX, I'm quite happy with its BSD base.)
Maybe, if the MacBooks have a variant in my price-range, I can get a
bigger hard disk. I don't understand why laptop hdd's as released
have to have such small capacity...
(I'm bedridden, so I can only manage a laptop, and even that is very
heavy and difficult.)
