I've been pushing for having standalone articles on developer, that don't have to live in a maintained document in a package, and that are easy for us to update separately from our releases. I proposed doing a WordPress/library-web hybrid on developer, where some URLs would be served by WP and some by static content generated from our packages. We had enough craziness to deal with for 3.0 though, so we don't have that. What we do have is a section of the wiki whose pages are slurped into developer.gnome.org. The (as-yet stubbed) GSettings page in the Platform Overview should then have something like this: "GSettings also allows you to read and write settings defined by other applications or by the GNOME desktop. This is useful, for example, if.... GNOME maintains a list of GSettings schemas that are considered stable. Applications can use these to better integrate with the desktop.
