I have just committed a fix for the bug #399988, which adds an error
message with one new string to the Eye of GNOME.
The relevant code fragment is in the file shell/main.c, and reads:

+ GTK_DIALOG_DESTROY_WITH_PARENT,
+ GTK_MESSAGE_ERROR,
+ GTK_BUTTONS_CLOSE,
