Is English a required language for administrators ? Maybe it's the case
now, but it should not remains so in the long term.

I'd make a distinction between "debug messages" mostly for application
developers or "hackers", and error messages which an advanced user or
admin can encounter (e.g. in syslog).
The former is not worth translating, but IMHO the latter is.
