//$ git config --global user.name "Your Name Comes Here" $ git config --global user.email [email protected]// but it is not so. there is a .git is in each module.searched the net and some solution said to edit this. i find it was there already. managed the commit thanks dr.tv On Mon, Nov 2, 2009 at 7:38 PM, Andre Klapper <[email protected]> wrote: > Am Montag, den 02.11.2009, 19:18 +0530 schrieb Tirumurti Vasudevan: >> where is .git? i tried this and got an error >> tv >> >> d...@narayana:~$ git config branch..remote origin >> error: could not lock config file .git/config: No such file or directory >> d...@narayana:~ > > Are you sure you are in the right directory? > Is the ".git" directory listed by "ls -a"? > > andre > -- > mailto:[email protected] | failed > http://www.iomc.de/ | http://blogs.gnome.org/aklapper > > -- My blogs: [all in Tamil] http://anmikam4dumbme.blogspot.com/ http://chitirampesuthati.blogspot.com/ photo blog now with english text too! http://kathaikathaiyaam.blogspot.com/ BE HAPPY!
