Hi Sebastian,
It seems deskbar has still not branched for GNOME 2.28, hence the string
freeze break.
Could you please branch it at a point before the string changes?

Hi Claude,
there's no further 2.28 release and I only released 2.28.0, I didn't see
the point in branching for 2.28 if development already stopped.
I'll create a branch soon.
