doing this is a good idea. The use of the email is to have a unique
identifier, but it does not mean that it should work if you send an
email :-)

One of the problems is that people changes email from time to time and
it would be difficult to collect this. And I think putting the current
email is not sensible, either.

In the new commits you can put whatever you want.
