When using tabs in gnome-terminal, it inserts some characters when
trying to switch to a tab that doesn't exist.
For example, when having 2 tabs open and trying to C-PGUP (Page Up)
further than tabs available, it inserts 5~ into the terminal. This
also happens trying to move in the other direction when there is no
more tabs available.
