that function is part of the glibc library, thus you have a wrong
(probably too old) version of it installed. The epiphany you are running
expects a different one. Try upgrading glibc on your system.
More information would also be helpful ... what distribution are you
running,
are you compiling Gnome on your own, the output of 'echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH'
etc.
