Empathy still works but it still uses clutter-gst2 and webkit1. It doesn't seem to be much under development which is somewhat sad.
Pidgin's gtk3 branch uses webkit1 since webkit2gtk doesn't compile on Windows. Perhaps something will change in the future though.
