Hi, is there a doc that explains what technologies should be used in 2007 to
build a basic Gnome application using the C language? In particular,
something that describes what APIs should be used to "do this and that",
maybe with explicit warnings about what APIs are currently deprecated and
available only for backward compatibility? I know some little Gnome
programming and with some help from the community I'd like to collaborate to
write such doc (if it doesn't exist yet): it would contain hints on how to
write a single threaded app, with custom GObjects and Glade integration,
plus an explanation of all the latest and greatest ways to build menus and
toolbars and how to add a proper Help and Credit window, how to pass params
from the CLI and how to generate a build script using Anjuta 2.0

Also, I noticed that many Gnome docs (articles, tutorials et cetera)
available on the Net don't have a date indicating the last time they have
been updated.

Ciao!
chris

Hi all, i am very very excited to contribute to gnome but i have more
learning to do. I have been learning C++ and not need to learn the
gnome libs (Cario, gtkmm, gdk, libglade, pango, [anything else?]).
Also i need to learn C...anyways i was wondering until i get enough
money to get the gnome official developers guide if there are any good
online tutorials.
I have installed devhelp which is awesome and am just looking for more
infomational documentation (AKA not just API but guides on using the
gnome libraries to obtain a final product, etc..). Thanks :)
