I should have added in the first place that I checked for a package
containing devkit-gobject.pc (or similar).

Yes, I tried, but I was going for gnome-session and was stuck on some
missing dependencies that I thought included DeviceKit-power.

But it just turned out that I was wrong, and gnome-session built
without DeviceKit-power.

Never mind.
