Hi Guys, just spraying a little bit of ugly realism into this Discussion, honestly, i like the PieThrower, but i like to refer to my Mother coming to Computers, shes using Ubuntu because i lured her into it and everytime i see a new Feature im thinking "Could she be taking advantage of that?". So heres what i think the casual User would expect from a Middle-Click-Move-Window-to-Workspace-# Menu. Just thrown together really quick. 4 Workspaces in 2 Rows Setup twitpic.com/1fu17u <http://twitpic.com/1fu17u>3 Workspaces Linear Setup twitpic.com/1fu2gj <http://twitpic.com/1fu2gj>Its emphasizing several questions i would ask myself while moving a Window to another Workspace. - Where i'm at right now (and the Window i want to move) in relation to the other Workspaces? Solution: Color Separation, like making the currrent Window more reddish as in the Picture. - Where do i move it? Solution: The Workspaces in the Menu are arranged like they would be in the actual Desktop Environment. - What Group does my Window fit in? Whats already in the target Workspace? Solution: Little "Placeholders" for the Current Windows on the Workspaces, its more likely people will recognize their Window Setup by Shape not by enumeration. Like i said, i just threw this together really quick, just hoping it will give you further input alongside your current discussion.
