It's a weird bug. Actually, it seems that it's just a warning from the
glib library but a warning that becomes an error when it enters the
java-gnome library. I don't think that it's really a GNOME Split bug.
I'll report it on the java-gnome bug tracker and see how can we deal
with it.

when I'm executing in my terminal after installing the ppa and the package I 
get this...
