I'm having some troubles, with what I believe stems from gnome-vfs, on NCPFS (Netware) network mounted shares. non-gnomevfs applications can write just fine to a users mounted home (OpenOffice, Firefox, Inkscape, etc. etc.) but when an application like gedit tries to write to a file, they get an error message like "can not write to file." The same happens with all other gnome-vfs2 based applications.
Any ideas on what may be happening, or tips on tracking down the problem? I thought about running an strace when using my account (which for whatever reason works) and then comparing it with a user's whose doesn't. I'm not experienced in debugging so I'm not sure how fruitful this would be. Any suggestions on where the culprit might be, or on debugging it? Versions: gnome-vfs2: 2.8.3 kernel: 2.6.8 distro: Debian (testing) servers: Netware 6.50.2 Thanks, Jay Camp _______________________________________________ gnome-vfs-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-vfs-list
