This is not right. gnome_vfs_uri_new() takes a uri argument, not a
filename argument. You must use gnome_vfs_get_uri_from_local_path().
Its a bit unfortunate that gnome_vfs_uri_new appends file: as the
default method name if you give none, as that results in broken uris if
you just pass in a filename.
