I just remembered that those nice people at O'Reilly use DOAP-over-Atom in their Codezoo site (a catalogue of programming libraries). http://www.codezoo.com/about/doap_over_atom.csp has an overview. If we went down the DOAP route we'd basically be cloning CodeZoo.
