(1) in section 1.1, there is a link that displays as "tutorials" and links to
http://www.gtk.org/documentation , however, that is a dead link. This url
http://www.gtk.org/documentation.php works.
(2) several occurrences of "ISO-8859-1" are spelt "IS0-8859-1"
