If you want to request or suggest a change to the documentation, you are
better off filing a bug against gnome-devel-docs.

However, in this case I'm not sure whether this really is an issue with the
docs or what you're doing. :) You might be best to ask in #gtk+ on
irc.gnome.org for advise from a developer.
