what i am doing:
1. i open ekiga. on the main window i can see under the picture: 
   ready
   tow registered accounts
2. i enter the line phone number. something like this:
   +431523....
3. i click on the connect button. i hear a ringing ton and read in the
status line calling +431523...
after about two ring-tons i hear a ton like a occupied signal an i read
in the status line: conection was finished because of an error.
in the history i do not see anything else than:

15:25:41 sip:+431523... wird angerufen
15:25:41 Verbindung wurde aufgrund eines Fehlers beendet
15:25:46 Videogerät Philips 740 webcam wird mit »V4L«-Plugin geöffnet
15:25:47 Videogerät Philips 740 webcam, Kanal 0 wurde erfolgreich
geöffnet

i can call the echo test and it is working. 

which other information do you need to help diagnosing the problem?
