.. but after enabling ONLY Capture for recording with GNOME ALSA mixer, aplay and gnome sound-recorder 2.14.2 worked after which the Druid Audio Devices sound test also worked .. although calling 'sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]' and 'sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]' terminated after 3-4 beeps with "Abnormal call termination" ... hmm Adam.
