Before a package can become a core part of the GNU system it must be
rewritten several times in progressively more obscure languages,
repeatedly abandoned by its authors, and finally buried in a landfill
for six years.

It's no coincidence that their code looks like compost.

Arch needs to rot for a good while before it qualifies.
