This is a bit of fun extending mine-sweeper.el. That game can be found at the emacs wiki, with a download from archive.org,

The idea is to let the computer do the safe obvious moves, ie. as one
former sanitation commissioner said: "Can't Someone Else Do It?"".
You have to get started manually, then it does the mechanical bits.
Because only safe moves are made, any 50/50 guess situations are left
to the player.
